Advisors are here to help!

Wow! My fifth year at the UofL and I am just learning about all the people who could have helped me along the way. So for you first years and those who do not know this yet, read this info. and it could help you in the long run! It was just by fluke that I went to the arts and science advising office in my third or fourth here just to check and make sure everything was fine with my requirements and all that and low and behold I find out that I had taken one too many 1000 level classes and ended up having to take an extra class. If I hadn't went to an advisor, which by the way I almost didn't do because I assumed I was on the right track, I would have arrived at graduation time with a little surprise; taking one more class. But advisors can help with so much more even if you just have questions about classes or scheduling or requirements, they can tell you everyhting you need to know. Never be afraid to ask and never think you are aksing a dumb question because if it has anything to do with your degree or future, you should be asking. Luckily for me, I took my extra class and can graduate as a teacher in June 2007.

So here is some info. you should know:
